About Me

Hey, I am Evan, a 40 something queer sex educator. I live in Los Angeles. I love coffee, seeing plays and music, getting together with friends, and playing with my awesome service dog Winston and cat Romeo. My dog will also talk to you using his buttons, and I love watching other dogs tattle on their parents using buttons.

I also have a very sarcastic sense of humor that I use often. I went to Occidental College and got my degree in Gender Studies. I like to nerd out about sex stuff. For my day job, I work at the Trevor Project, a crisis hotline for LGBTQ+ youth, so I hear about teen drama for a living. It obviously has some serious moments, but most chats are sweet and funny. I like food and making a good steak.

There’s a lot of laughter in my home, whether at my pets, the teen drama, or the emails about my sex education business. This role may not always be thrilling, but if we connect, it’s always enjoyable. Plus, you’ll be part of a community with my other aides, who are all fantastic individuals.

More than just a job, being a personal aide for me is about building a strong personal connection. I also have cerebral palsy, which for me means I use a wheelchair to get around and spell out what I want to say on a letterboard. I need physical help with just about everything, which is where you come in. I have been hiring people to help me for about 30 years. While there are requirements, the biggest one is chemistry because we will spend so much time together. I have and will train anyone if we get along. I joke that people never really leave because I keep in touch with most of my old aides.

I want to continue my sex education work and help the disability community. Are you down to help me?
