About the Job

This job is mostly hanging out and just helping me do what I want to do. You will help me with my basic life activities, which will look like getting me up in the morning, making my meals and feeding me, writing texts and emails as I dictate them to you, and helping with hygiene. Helping with my day job and my sex education work looks like writing out my words to my coworkers, emails, and chats. You will help me post on my social media for my sex education business and monitor my website for workshop and collaboration engagements.

I will provide comprehensive training to ensure you are fully equipped for the role. When I have downtime, I like to talk to friends, scroll social media, and other random things.

We will use my vehicle, but you will need to drive me.

The job pays $20/hour. You will also get insurance, sick pay, and holiday pay. You must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a background check. The most important thing is that we have chemistry because we will spend many hours together.
If you are interested, please email me a bit about yourself at evansaidesad@gmail.com. Thanks!

My Previous Aides say…

Evan is the best boss ever. Ever. I had no idea what luck I had when I replied to his ad, so congrats on finding Evan! I cannot emphasize what an honor it was working for him. I first approached the job looking for only wintertime gigs, I stayed on in an assortment of shifts through the last years until his move to LA. Evan truly cares for his people and has been managing his own care for decades, so he knows what’s up! Being his aide taught me so much about communication and technology, like it would be so normal to find Evan on a Thursday night messing with prompts to find the edge on an Language Learning Model’s take on sex and disability (lol). Helping Evan’s pursuits, be they fun social excursions, puzzling over Winston’s word combos, composing an email or script or just getting to know the beats at his work, was a short range of sheer joy to very satisfied with work. His compassion-forward communication-forward approach tunes him into the capacity of his aides, and might honestly spoil you for how an employer-employee relationship could be. Evan’s so chill, so as long as you’re honest and attentive–and can laugh– you will have a great time as his aide. Essentially, if you jive, you will thrive at work.

Have you watched Evan’s movie? Go watch that too!

“I was just working in food service and food production when I happened upon Evans Craigslist ad searching for ‘Personal assistant for disabled sex educator’ and instantly thought Hey, I could do that! And I’m so glad I followed that feeling!

Evan is so down to earth and a true pioneer of the sex and disability education movement. He validated all of my love and interest of communication, and it’s vastness beyond what we mistake as majoritively verbal.

I could talk to Evan about anything real about life and sex, and got to support him in leading rad events like Kink community gatherings!

If you have a platonic comfortability and respect for bodies and value community care, this would be such a fulfilling job for you. And likely an opportunity to make a lifelong comrade!”

Evan was wonderful to work for. He does a great job training and communicating his expectations as you are working for him. He has a great sense of humor, and is patient with you if you don’t get something perfect the first time around. The people on our team were also really cool, which I feel also speaks to Evan’s ability to find the right helpers. If you have any concerns, he will listen to them and do his best to address them so that everyone is healthy and happy at work. If he chooses you, count yourself lucky!
